Regarding sales tax return

I filed return for the month of oct 2010 with a vat recoverable amount of rs 5000, but in the of nov i could not bring it to the return , and by mistake i paid sales tax of rs 3000 now do I have option to claim the amount of vat recoverable in the month of Dec ,,
or what option i have to claim the amount of vat recoverable?
or what option i have to claim the amount of vat recoverable?
