Hi sir I have made the payment of service tax but the challan i received is showing that payment is made to excise department.Please let me know how can i correct this mistake.

You need to contact Servicetax range superintendent and ask his advice on how to make good for your mistake.it is rectifiable from department end and they cannot ask you to pay again,
