Hello Sir, Recruitment expense of $45000 in june 09. can i record this expense in jun 09 or divide into months for whole year. (Jun 09 to Dec 09).

recruitement expenses are generally charged off in the month of recruiting the employees. how ever if you have any assurance that the employees will stay for certain period and the expenses are quite high, you can spread them over the period which during which the employees will certainly stay with the company. This may be opted only by those companies where there exists tenure linked employement contract.
