30 November 2009 Can Excise duty Credit be obtained while purchasing from the manufacturer by wholesaler and set off against sales tax..?

30 November 2009 Wholesaler can not take excise duty credit and certainly excise duty cenvat cannot be adjusted against sales tax.

04 December 2009 Can i Knlow the reason bcoz indirect tax is to be borne by the consumer and why wholesaler has to bear excise duty as his cost...
