31 January 2009 Hello Freinds,

I would like to know the rates of Service Tax; Cess & S.H.E.Cess ans its effective date from Apr 2005 to Mar 2006; Apr 2006 to Mar 2007; Apr 2007 to Mar 2008 and Apr 2008 onwards.

31 January 2009 Period 1-04-2005 to 17-04-2006
Service tax 10% + Edu Cess 2% = 10.20%
Period 18-04-2006 to 10-05-2007 \
Service tax 12% + Edu Cess 2% = 12.24%
Period 11-05-2007 to till date
Service tax 12% + Edu Cess 2% + SHEC 1%= 12.36%
