I received a letter dated 9/4/2014 of provisional admission to CA final may 14 exams stating my roll number as well. It mentions that as per my exam form i m serving last 6 months of training and that if any revalidation is required we need to apply for it. Since I registered for ca final in 2012 so revalidation not needed.. But yes 30 months are not completed as on 1.5.14 . I agreee to that. But what to do now of this letter? I will go to d regional office,but wan to know what I m expected to do

if that is so, then how come 30 months don't get over on or before 1 May 2014? isn't it obvious that any articleship that is getting over on or before 30 October 2014 also completes 30 months on or before 1 May 2014?

yeah but dats counting excess leave. my articleship gets over on 24th august 2014. includin excess leav by 1st oct max. nd btw, even being provisionally admitted ,i will get a provisional admit card nd i can sit for exams. do u know abt provisional thing properly mr. expert?

oops! again wrong.. its before 31.10.2014 for ipce students! neway thanks for replying . No all i want to know is shud i ignore this letter. i saw in forum 3-4 more first attempters have got d same letter

they send out letter to everyone...but there is nothing to worry about. rather even if your articleship is letter extended beyond 31 Oct 2014 (on account of leave taken), your result will still stand good.

roll number is given in letter. but it says subject to regulation 29B nd C of ca regulations act. which says about serving last 6 months thing. so is this roll number valid or no now? i know what subject to means. but does this mean i wont be able to sit in exams with that roll number until its solved urgently?
1. The admission for all those whose articleship is not complete is provisional
2. if as on today, your articleship is not getting over by 31 Oct 2014, you are not eligible for this attempt. So for eg if you have articleship completion on 1 Nov, you are not eligible.
3. however, if later on, lets say because you take leave after the exam, your articleship completion shifts beyond 31 Oct 2014, your result shall still stand good.

another thread to d same topic concludes that we have to know d due date for responding or sending details again to d institude coz of that letter. a guy also revcd d same letter nd it has d due date which is a date aftr exam so he is able to ignore d letter.

you dont have to do anything. if they have sent you a format of service certificate attached to this letter, then fill it, get it signed by your principal and send it to ICAI (this certificate is similar to one that was already signed by your Principal in the exam form).

well ICAI has a habit of doing stupid things...the service certificate is part of the exam form itself. that is more than sufficient to cover this letter...but then what can we do!
