PROVIDENT FUND AND ESIC DEDUCTION

05 September 2009 Dear Sir,

I am working with a proprietory firm at the time of joining ( july 07) my salary is 5500/- employer deduct my eisc and providend fund.At present i am draw 17700/- (Total salary)salary.ESIC and PF facility stop by employer due to provision of act.Pl tell me it right or wrong.

05 September 2009 PF limit is 6500 & ESI limit 10000/=

Now its depend to Employer to deduct PF or not but you can deposit your contribution.

14 November 2009 The employer is liable to contribute & deduct PF, if employees are not less 10, however the count is 20 where power is used for running the machinery.

The ESIC is also applicable if ESIC dispancery is within the 20 Kms dia to the work place.

However, you may take advise of experts in this regard before conclussion.
