Section 16(iii) Provides a deduction of any sum paid by the assessee on account of a tax on employment within the meaning of clause (2) of article 276 of the Constitution, leviable by or under any law.]
So there is no limit as such in Income Tax Act but it makes a reference to Constitution . As per Constitution, State can charge maximum 2500 as professional tax.
