suppose a co. purchase a machinery and it is under warranty period and they issued me credit note for this machinery so what is the accounting treatment for this ?

But Why they issued to Credit note against the Machinery? IF they issued credit note as discount then u have to Debited the supplier of Machinery and credited to Machinery Account accordingly.

for replacement of machinery they issued me credit note not any discount allowed to me
