I have a querry regarding default in filling of Service Tax Return, if a company is having more than one registrtation numbers, the how the penalty is panalty is payable, whether it is seperately payable for every different registarion no. (i.e every different return) or it is payble only once for a company for all different registartion nos.

Hello Sachin, penalty is per return e.g. as you have said, you have two registration numbers so that you have two file two different returns, penalty will be for two different returns i.e of Rs. 500, Rs. 1000 or Rs. 2000 as the case may be.
