When i filed the return for AY 11-12,
i entered bank account no. as 0
Now unluckily i do not remember my password and registered mail id is not mine. So I'm using enter ackn. no. & bank account no. facility to recover password.
But now that i'm entering bank account no. as 0, it is showing invalid bank account no.

Please help me out friends.

Dear Aditya Sean,
First of all , I would like to say that please DON'T WORRY Because I have a genuine solution of your problem. First of all immediate send an application from your Emial-id TO the below mentioned 2 mail ids......
1)validate@incometaxindia.gov.in,
2) ask@incometaxindia.gov.in,

Application Formats are given below:-

Sub:Forget Password for IT Efiling purpose.

Respected Sir/Madam,
I am bearing PAN AAAAA0123X . I got myself registered at efiling side of Income tax of India for submitting my return . But, I have forgotten my password and answer of secret question . Therefore, now I am unable to log in my side.
Details of the assessee given below:-
PAN:- AAAAA0123X
First Name:-
Middle Name:-
Last Name:-
DOB:-
Father’s First Name:-
Father’s Middle Name:-
Father’s Last Name:-
Address:- Mobile No:- . Your Regd. E-Mail ID:-
&
after submission of your above application , most probably with in 24 to 48 hours , IT Dept will give you a duplicate password on your above mention regd. mail id & then by using this duplicate password , first you login & then subsequently change your password as well as secret question as per your own choice.
please don't worry & one thing you must remember that --->
" IF YOU KNOW THE ENEMY & KNOW YOURSELF --- YOU NEED NOT FEAR THE RESULTS OF A HUNDRED BATTLES "

Please mail to validate@incometaxindia.gov.in With the following details

PAN number
Name of the PAN Holder
Date of birt/incorporation
Father's Name
Registred PAN address(i.e address of the PAN as per income tax department)

with the request of re-set password.

Rakshit Sir, Thank you very much for your reply. But to my bad luck, as already mentioned by me, the registered mail is not mine but of another person who signed up of my client's behalf, with whom we are not in contact.
That's the main problem. Should we visit the IT department and submit the application there?

Or should I send the application as suggested by use from my own mail id.

Dear Aditya,
ok ,Don't Cry & Please try to follow what i am saying now,
1) Immediate Send an application for forget password with exact format which i mentioned in detail ( your ALL client's details )earlier & definitely try to send the above application from your own regd. mail id & In the above application , kindly mention your own regd. mail id.
2) Definitely , with in 10-24 hours IT DEPT WILL GIVE YOU A DUPLICATE PASSWORD to your own regd. mail id , so check your regd. mail constantly .
3) Then , note down the exact duplicate password in a seperate paper .
4) Then go to https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in
5) then login ( as your client is a regd user ).
6) then , user id i.e, give your client's PAN NO AS user id in the user id box.
7) in case of password, ( first you use the duplicate password as you note down earlier in a seperate paper ( i.e,given by IT DEPT IN YOUR MAIL )
8) THEN AFTER A SEPARATE NEW PAGE WILL COME OUT , i.e, OLD PASSWORD---> i.e, it means the duplicate password given by IT DEPT TO YOUR MAIL , SO, give your old password.
then, NEW PASSWORD----> GIVE YOUR OWN NEW PASSWORD AS PER YOUR CHOICE .
Then GIVE YOUR CLIENT'S DATE OF BIRTH IN DOB BOX . & THEN SUBMIT.
9) AND THEN AFTER, YOU FIRST LOGIN & GIVE YOUR USER ID & PASSWORD ( HERE PASSWORD MEANS NEW PASSWORD AS YOU GIVEN IN SERIAL NO 8. i.e, as per your choice ).
10) and after open of your client's account, then go to -> Profile Settings-->update contract details & here in this category , IMMEDIATE PUT YOUR OWN REGD. MAIL ID IN PLACE OF ANOTHER PERSON'S MAIL ID.
11) Then go to " CHANGE SECRET QUESTION (S)/ANSWER(S)" under Profile Setting Menu & give details as per your choice.

What alternative method can be adopted to get the password reset on new email ID?

Yes, recently the IT department has changed the method of password re-set it send the password to the registered mail id only.

So if you didn't have any chance to recover your password through the ways or options provided by the CPC to recover password then you have only one option is contact e-filing administrator. except this you didn't have any other alternative net present.
