While applying for PAN, one has to give Area code, AO, Ward, Range etc. I have not been able to get the same for Delhi for my daughter-in-law who is a housewife. For investment, she requires a PAN.
All you have to do is to fil up Form 49A to the extent possible. You dont have to mention area code, AO code & range etc. These details will be decided by the AO himself.
So dont worry & submit ur form 49A with the intermediary (NSDL or Karvi or UTI).

Pl note that I want to file the application online. These details are mandatory. I have searched extensively including Income Tax dept site as mentioned by Mr. D Singh.

You have to fill the 49A form and submit the nearest TIN facilitation centre to get the PAN. No need to worry about Area Code and other details.
