WHAT IS EXACT PROCEDURE FOR FILING TDS RETUNRS ONLINE

e-TDS OR e-TCS Return Submission Procedure
NSDL provides us completely free software for submission of etds/etcs return.
Link of software is given as under. Before taking software from nsdl you should know some knowledge regarding etds/etcs in brief.
1. FVU =File validity Utility. Each and every files (before uploading) should be checked through this utility.
2. Forms = There are some forms like as 24Q,26Q,27Q,27EQ, 27A.
"Q" in each form introduce to Quarter
Form 24Q = Relates to Payment of Salary on Quarterly basis.
Form 26Q = Relates to Payment of Non-Salary Quarterly basis.
Form 27Q = Relates to Payments other than Salary made to non-residents
Form 27EQ = Relates to Tax Collection at Source on Quarterly basis.
Form 27A = Relates to a Form for Furnishing information of TDS/TCS filed on
computer media duly signed to be submiitted with 24Q and
26Q returns etc.
3) System Requirement:- Before running this software , you should ensure that java should be installed on your computer. If java is not installed in your computer , this utility will not work properly. You can install java through below link.
The e-TDS/TCS FVU is a Java based utility. JRE (Java Run-time Environment) [versions: SUN JRE: 1.4.2_02 or 1.4.2_03 or 1.4.2_04 or IBM JRE: 1.4.1.0] should be installed on the computer where the e-TDS/TCS FVU is being installed. Java is freely downloadable from http://java.sun.com and http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/java/jdk or you can ask your vendor providing computer facilities (hardware) to install the same for you.
4) Time to time Updation:- NSDl updates this utlity time to time. Before starting to create your file , you should check it's Latest version of RPU and FVU through web. The Latest version of RPU is 1.6 and FVU is 2.116 which is as under
e-TDS RPU (ver 1.6) for form 24Q/26Q/27Q/27EQ (1st. 2nd, 3rd & 4th Quarters) (VB Based)
