Nps - section 80ccd anybody can contribute?

Hi All,
I am not aware of this scheme. Please advise whether I can deposit directly the amount under National Pension Scheme. I am being employed by a Private Company and PF is deducted as per PF Act. There is no such NPS scheme in our company.

u can directly open an account in NPS scheme with the bank.
