24 January 2011 I AM COMING FROM DUBAI PERMANENT BASIS IN INDIA. AT PRESENT YEAR I ENJOYED RESIDENT STATUS WHAT IS PROCEADURE FOR FILLING OF RETURNS IN INDIA AND TAXABLITY OF INCOMES AND AMOUNT REMITTED IN INDIA.

25 January 2011 Income Tax Act'1961 is applicable on income for tax purpose.

- You can file our Income Tax Return(ITR) online also through www.incometaxindia.org after having Permanent Account Number(PAN)

- Varrious tax rates applicbale on various types income.check same website for rates.

- Amount remitted in India is tax free if this amount is not earned during this financial year(called previous year).

25 January 2011 amount remitted from abrod earned when you enjoys the NRI status
all incomes generated from application of amount remitted is taxable even at a time you are NRI as per income tax. But NRI given prvilages for special rates of taxes and special exemptions

as per wealth tax act all money or assets brought by the money or kept at bank a/c is exempted for wealth tax for 7 consecutive years from the date on which you returns to india.
