Dear friends,
Please tell me whether the medical allowance paid to the senior citizen is fully taxable or deductible under section 80 D of the income tax act 1961.

The two are different. Medical allowance is fully taxable. Deduction u/s 80D will be allowed only If medical policy is taken by the assessee.
