Krishi Kalyan Cess is calculated @ 0.50% of the taxable service. In the case of works contract the taxable service after abatement is either 40% or 70%. Hence the rate of Krishi Kalyan Cess would be an additional 0.20% or 0.35% as per the taxable value.
