07 June 2016 Fee received in foreign currency from patients abroad and deposited in bank account maintained in India -- is it to be reported in schedule FSI? The fee has been included in gross fee received while computing income from business/ profession and reported in ITR 4 and tax has been computed thereon. No tax was deducted by the patients while remitting and no tax has been paid abroad. No bank account is maintained abroad. No establishment is maintained abroad. No assets are maintained abroad. It is only from a few patients/ clients who live abroad and pay fee in foreign currency, while doctor examines them on a visit to foreign country.
Does FSI schedule cover such transactions and is gross fee received required to be reported therein under column b " income from outside India -included in Part B -T:I" This is not net Income but gross Fee received. Fiurther, if it is to be reported, what will be mentioned under col d " tax payable on such income under normal provisions in India" Will it be proportionate to total gross fee ( domestic plus foreign currency fee) and tax computed at applicable slab rate?

07 June 2016 As no tax has been deducted in foreign country no need to report in FSI schedule.
