01 August 2024 In the CA IPCC exam, an exemption is granted when a candidate scores at least 60 marks in a single paper, and it applies to that paper in future attempts as well. Based on your situation, here’s what you need to know:

### **Understanding Your Result:**

- **Result Breakdown:**
- **Group 2 Papers:** You have scored 0 in the first two papers due to illness and 67 in the third paper (ITSM).
- **F-Ex:** This indicates that you have received an exemption in the ITSM paper due to scoring 67 marks (more than 60) but did not pass the other two papers.

### **What You Need to Do:**

1. **Papers to Attempt:**
- **Group 2:** You will need to reappear for the first two papers in Group 2 for which you scored 0. The ITSM paper is exempted, so you do not need to attempt it again.

2. **Exemption Validity:**
- The exemption you received in the ITSM paper will be valid for future attempts. This means you are not required to reattempt the ITSM paper and will carry forward the exemption.

3. **Preparation for Next Attempt:**
- Focus on preparing for the papers you need to retake. Make sure you thoroughly study the subjects you struggled with to increase your chances of passing in the next attempt.

### **Action Steps:**

1. **Verify with ICAI:**
- Confirm the details with ICAI or through the official ICAI website to ensure that your exemption is correctly applied and to get any additional advice specific to your situation.

2. **Check Eligibility and Requirements:**
- Ensure you meet all the eligibility criteria for the next attempt and follow any guidelines provided by ICAI.

3. **Plan Your Study:**
- Create a study plan to cover the papers you need to retake and consider enrolling in coaching if you need additional support.

### **Additional Tips:**

- **Keep Records:** Maintain all relevant records and communications related to your exam attempts and exemptions.
- **Stay Updated:** Regularly check ICAI notifications for any updates or changes in the examination process or requirements.

If you need more specific advice or have further questions, contacting ICAI directly would be the best approach to get precise guidance based on your situation.
