16 November 2011 I have received demand notice u/s 245 from income tax department today demanding tax payable related to A.Y.2007-2008 & 2008-2009 as per section 143(1)..
The self assessment tax was duly paid in those years..
However. filing online rectification u/s 154 was not possible in those years...
How do i respond to this notice now?

16 November 2011 It has already mentioned in the notice. You have to get rectification done through ur concerned assessing officer.

16 November 2011 IS IT POSSIBLE TO OBTAIN THE PHONE NUMBER OF CONCERNED ASSESSING OFFICER?I KNOW THE RELEVANT WARD NO ETC...
