03 July 2017 Hello!

Suppose i am a retail trader with aggregate turnover of less than 20 lacs. I have taken commercial space for rent of Rs. 5000/month. My landlord has provided me to provide GSTIN for payment of GST on rent. My query is will i have to take GST registration and do i need to pay GST?

03 July 2017 no, you dont have to take GST registration number. You can inform your landlord that you are NOT laible for GST

03 July 2017 Is there any section which can be referred to him?Cos he will raise with an output tax




03 July 2017 if your landlord is liable for GST registration, he can very well charge GST on your rent. (You will be the end customer in that case...B2C...as is called under GST)
You can ask for the GST number of your landlord for verification purpose
