BY introducing new scheme of education and training ICAI wants to increase the number of students passing CA course from 9000-12000 to 24000approx. Now my question is that don't u think that this will effect the precious reputation of CA course and at the same time will effect the average pay pakage which has just starting touching some gr8 numbers. i am a new entant to this course n for long times ago i am hearing about the grace presteige of this course. i am also a CPT pass out .but i have passed the 1 which is considered the toughtest in terms of content and chaecking i.e. feb 2008 with a passing rate of just 10.87% inspite of this if closing down the CPT and nullifying the results of those who passed it will b thought as correct step to save the profession then i will b the 1st 1 to reappear for exams b it tough lenthy whatever it will b with out giving a sign of discontent or regreting on Institute . decision.but i also know that it is impossible as its not the practical step on the part of the institute.

appreciate ur positive approach to the course, let me clarify ur doubts
institute has broad frame work for taking any new decision with regards to scheme of examination but there are no any prior plans for output of exams , ie results will be given according to the performance of the candidates,
i dont want to say that ur lucky to clear in the attempt which they say it was toughfest , its only because of ur hardwork, please try to measure how hard u worked for ur exams that would give u the answer.
institue does not only equips u with knowledge but also makes us develop ethical behaviour which is of utmost important for the profession , offcourse indirectly, but we should be enough smart to understand every step take by council,
put this question to urself, if u have not cleared in cpt in ur 1st attempt would ur answer remain same?
always ANALYSE the facts u will get correct answer.
Just by dropping the exam or changing the scheme value of profession will never fall below.
