04 September 2015 The Assesses is paying rent of Rs 1,44,000/- per year i.e Rs.12,000/-per month he live in Mahad. kindly conform me the HRA exemption limit, salary break up is below:-

Basic Sal=45000/- pm
Bonus = Nil
Telephone All= 1,500/-pm
Uniform All= 1250/-pm
conveyance all 1600/-pm
LIC-45000/-
PPF-75000/-

I want to give him HRA Allowance. How can i calculate HRA allowance.?

04 September 2015 for claiming HRA first there should be one of the component in Salary, but you have not mentioned HRA in Salary Bifurcation?

Calculate HRA 40% of BAsic that is the thumb Rule Followed.

HRA exemption will Be allowed u/s 10(13A)

Actual HRA Received
Rent Paid Excess of 10% of Basic Salary
40% (NON METRO) /50% Metro

Least of the above Three allowed as HRA Benifit
