22 July 2011 I am a salaried employee. I recived my Form 16 from my employer. I have also inveted some funds in shares and I also have rented a house.

I need to file ITR2 and have downloaded the excel sheet from the IT website. I am unable to figure out how to fill out the form. When I try to fill in details from FOrm 16 to sheet PARTB -TI-TTI, I get message : The cell or chart you are trying to change is proteceted and threfore read only . I am trying to fill in Part B TI ( Row 2 to Row 28) when I get this message.

How do I enter details from Form 16 to Excel sheet. Which field from Form 16 should go to which filed in excel sheet. Can someone send me a sample Form 16 & its corresponding filled out excel sheet to understand the process of filling the excel sheet.

22 July 2011 It seems that you dont have knowledge of preparation & filing of ITR. I believe, you should approach any professional for filing return on your behalf.
