Sir my father is owner of house in delhi which is purchased by him in year 1984 and he is the sole owner of the house. Now we are facing some family disputes and his brothers have filed a court case claiming that the house is purchased from the money which he got from the sale of his mother's jewellery and three of them are having equal share in that house. I wanted to know the legal obligations.

Your father can prove that house has been purchased by him and with his money only if he has shown the house property in his IT Return. If he is maintaining books of account , whether he has shown the house ? .
Further the Municipal Records, Electric Bills, Water and Gas Bills, and document of property if are in your father's name , then your uncle claim can be defended. .
