my client have in compositin scheme want to convert to VAT, Can convert or not what effet in GST & DTC

You can changae over from Composition scheme to VAT by filing an application to your VAT office declaring the changing date(not earlier than 1st of next month.File all the returns upto date and pay the taxes due till now.After changeover you can avail input tax credit of one month prior purchases.In many states you cannot change too often.At least for one year one should continue in a scheme.The RC under VAT is also to be amneded.Generally this is not done.
GST and DTC are yet to come. Pl wait...MJK
