Dear expert,
There is one unmatch entry in form 26AS. Total TDS in form 26AS is Rs. 9800/- out of which one entry of Rs. 300/- is with unmatched status.
My deductor has denied to file revised TDS return.
Please advise me, should I claim Rs. 9800/- in IT return as TDS amount or I should Claim 9500/- as TDS amount.
Regards.

You should claim Rs. 9,800. However, you will be allowed credit of only Rs. 9,500.

Also ensure that after allowing TDS of Rs. 9,500, there is no tax payable otherwise demand will be raised u/s 143(1).

The said matter belongs to AY 2011-12, and CPC banglore has overlooked the whole TDS amount both in efiling and rectification request.
Please advise me what should I do?

Credit of Rs. 300 will not be given by CPC becuase the same is unmatched.

There is nothing much you can do. If your deductor is not ready to revise the return, then it is a loss.

Since the amount is not that big, I will suggest let it go.

Should I file Re-rectification claiming wherein TDS of RS.9500/- or full amount of Rs. 9800/-.

Is there a demand in the intimation?

no. in both attempts, cpc processed it as nil demand/ nil refund. Actually I had claimed the refund of Rs. 9800/- but cpc overlooked the whole TDS amount. Then I examined the form 26as carefully and found Rs. 300/- unmatched entry. However I filed rectification claiming the whole TDS of Rs. 9800/- and also cited the instruction no. 1/2012 dated 2-2-2012. But again they have processed my rectification as nil demand / nil refund.

File a revised return claiming Rs. 9,500. Also ensure that you have entered correct TAN of deductor.

However, the return was filed after 31 july 2011.

In that case, you cannot file revised return.

File a rectification application claiming Rs. 9,500 and ensure that correct details of deductor are entered in the return.
