Dear Sir, In Budget 2017 it is proposed that if an assesse has not filed his return before due date then he has to pay fine of Rs. 5000.00 if his total income is upto Rs. 500000.00 for that A.Y. 2018-19. My query is whether this fine of Rs. 1000.00 is upto Dec'31 of that A.Y. or it is upto Mar'31 of that relevant A.Y.
