08 January 2011 is it possible that e-filling of IT return,if below taxable for A.Y 2009-10 without penalty of Rs.5000 i.e discretionary power to A.O

08 January 2011 Yes, you can file without penalty if your income before deduction under chapter VI is below taxable limit. However it is more then taxable limit then A.O. can penalised.
