We are a manufacturing company situated at Kanpur.
We are going to establish a new warehouse in Mundra, Gujarat. we would be transferring the finished goods from Kanpur to Mundra and then the goods would be exported only from Mundra. Can you please let me know what excise formalities would be required for this???
We would own a rented warehouse in Mundra. This would be a permanent establishment.
mere a godown / warehouse permission will not be useful to you as the goods are likely to be cleared for export and hence you have to clear the goods without charging excise duty.
You may have arrangement with your CHA regarding forwarding and clearing the goods from your factory to the desired destination aboard.
Let me make it more clear. We will have a rented warehouse in Mundra. We will transfer goods to Mundra and goods may be stored for a long period. Once we get confirmation from our customer abroad, goods will be despatched then only.
We need not to charge excise duty on the goods transferred from Kanpur to Mundra.
We will have work force at Mundra warehouse to perform packing and day to day activities.
My questions -
1. Do we need to have a seperate registration for mundra warehouse?? 2. Do we need to have a seperate B-1 or CT-1 bond if goods despatched under bond from Mundra??? 3. Can we transfer the input credit availed at kanpur to Mundra???
Please suggest if anything else required to establish a permanent work station in mundra.
