one of my client is providing professional services. He is registered for that service and paying service tax on same which crosses the threshold limit of 10 lacs. He is also renting immovable property. Which is below threshold limit. Will servicetax be applicable on renting activity.

You have to combine both services for calculating taxable turnover and definitely have to pay service tax for rental income on the immovable property. The property should be in his name. The rent should be from commecial property.
