08 June 2013 i'm right now a resident in usa and my family is in India i have opened a NRE account in india for transferring money in india to the family. is the interest generated on nre account in india is taxable in usa. also wanted to ask is whether the tax paid is refundable or tax credit is available in usa as my indian income is below maximum exemption limit.
