05 July 2015 Can anyone tell me the maximum amount, which can be paid as Director Remuneration to Director of Private Company? In case of inadequate profit can 5 crore be given as Director Remuneration?? Thanks in Advance. plz resolve this issue at earliest.

07 July 2015 Strict provisions related to remuneration are not applicable to a private company. Section 197 is not applicable to a private company.

A private company can give any remuneration to its director subject to the provisions of its articles.
