Vat audit for financial year 2011-12 (VAT)

Hello,

1) Where can I download the latest Form 704? I can find one at http://mahavat.gov.in/Mahavat/GetDataAction?option=Electronic%20Forms but want to confirm whether I can use the same for FY 2011-12 also.

2) Is it mandatory to first get accounts audited under Income Tax Act(Sec 44AB) and only then file VAT audit report? Or can vice-versa also be done? I don't so because in VAT audit report we've got to mention the date of Income Tax Audit also...

Mr Yashsr,
You can download the form 704 from the web site refered by you. Audit for IT is in more detail and for vat limited results are required.But balance sheet and P&L a/c are to be filed for vat audit also. So,it is one and the same....MJK
