29 July 2016 Dear All,
I am a salaried person.
I want to claim deduction Under Section 80U of Income Tax Act, 1961 because my mother is 80 Years old dependent on me and she lost her visibility more than 80%.
Government Doctor issued me certificate in this behalf but on that certificate he didn’t mention any thing about Income Tax 80U section.
So is it fine if I claim the same in my Return.
Whether I have to submit this certificate along with my IT Return?
And suppose I have Form 10-IA then in that case whether I have to submit the same along with IT Return?

29 July 2016 * 80DD to be used to claim the the expenses for dependent as deduction.
* if you have not claimed for yourself under 80U you can claim 80DD- FOR REFERENCE
* Certificate is only to prove the disablement not need to mention the section.
* Certificated not need to submit along with return.
* Preserve the certificate for future queiries asked by department
