16 February 2009 whether payment of tution fees paid for distance learning to panjab technical university is eligible to deduction u/s 80C

16 February 2009 in my opinion , distance learning is not covered u/s 80C. regular study is eesential for it.

16 February 2009 Yes it is allowed because as per section 80C tution fee paid to a recognised university is eligible for deduction.
