15 August 2014 What is the date of becoming FCA? Is it the date of becoming Member of the Institute or date of taking COP?

15 August 2014 date of FCA is the date on which you complete 5 years of continuous practice (or under other options provided by ICAI).

you need to be an ACA for five years to become a FCA

15 August 2014 normally you will be FCA after 5 years from the date of enrollment as member of institute.




16 August 2014 its complete 5 year from date of practice COP. with addition fee .

Again wish to make correction here. Holding COP is not required for being a FCA. please refer Conditions prescribed under Section 5(3) of the CA Act, 1949. please refer http://220.227.161.86/7697announ1209b.pdf

18 August 2014 agree with Nikhil, COP is not essential criteria for FCA.
