12 April 2011 Dear Experts/friends
Please Provide The solutions Of The following Two Questions as early as possible:
1. A question paper contains six questions, each having an alternative.the number of ways an examine can answer one or more questions is ( Ans 728)
2.The Results of 8 matches( win, loss or draw)are to be predicted.the number of different forecasts containing exactly six results is ( Ans 112)
Thanks

14 April 2011 For the first question, in my opinion the answer is 720. The reason is, in order to complete 6 questions the no. of ways it is possible to do so is, 6P5, which is a factorial of 6, which yields 720. Further to this there will be 6 combinations to answer the questions, which brings us to a total of 726 ways to attempt questions.
