Only on amount in excess of exemption limit i.e.,amount in excess of Rs 10 lacs. For example: The limit of exemption for small sevice provider is 10 lacks then if service turnover is exceeds to 11 lakhs then sevice tax would be applicable for additional 1 lakhs only.
