Change of cin no from u to l

This query is : Resolved

31 October 2011 Dear Friends,

As per CIN configuration U stand for Unlisted company and L stand for Listed Company.

A public limited company listed in both CSE and BSE but as per MCA site the CIN start with U instead of L.

Can anybody guide about the procedures to change the CIN letter from U to L.

31 October 2011 Go to check company master data print it.

On one line there is mention of listed or unlisted. Write on the right side listed and attach copy of annual return and file with the jurisdiction ROC.

31 October 2011 Thanks for your valuable opinion.
Now the situation is that all listed company should filled 23AC/ACA in XBRL format, but in ROC as the company status is unlisted the AC/ACA should be submitted and approved as per normal procedures.
As per ROC help desk the company need not filled to XBRL format as the status is unlisted but in actually what would be best option from your end.
1. Submit as per normal procedures, and wait for next communication from ROC,
2. Submit as per XBRL procedures, - however, if XBRL format not accepted by ROC site due to above status the company have to submit the AC/ACA at a later date with fine,
In this connection please note that the ROC site automatically detect which return should filled in XBRL format or normal format as the case may be.

31 October 2011 The best course of action is to file the company master data correction and get the CIN changed to 'L'.

Then file the Form 23AC / ACA under XBRL
