Capital gail on mutual funds

27 November 2014 Dear Sir/Madam,
I had purchased Mutual funds a some of Rs-250000/- in 2008 & nowadays they has market value of Rs-410000/-. If, I withdrawal these funds, will this attract capital gain? If, yes then what is tax rate?

27 November 2014 if these are equity basis then it will exempt.

if these are debt base then you can take cost index benefit. and give the LTCG @ 20%
