Can I use an Inkjet printer to print Sahaj & Sugam income-tax returns forms or is it necessary to print them from a colour laser printer ? Secondly, in case I print Form 2, 3, 4, 5, etc. in black and white is it necessary to print the Acknowledgement (ITR - V) in colour ?

the requirement is only color printout. It can be taken on a inkjet printer.
for Acknowledgement : the wordings are .... "d. The Acknowledgement copy [ITR-V Acknowledgement] to be retained by taxpayer may be printed in black & white."
So in my opinion, color printout for acknowledgement is not mandatory.

Hello Mr. Jha thanks for the reply one more query - As per my knowledge the Income-tax department is talking about drop out ink - would you be able to guide me as to what is drop out ink and is the ink in an inkjet printer or laser printer of the same quality ?
