Can demand draft be collected on some day other than the date of issue..

I have to pay my fee by demand draft from a bank. Somehow I took the pay in slip but in a hurry forgot to collect the demand draft. Will the bank give me the demand draft on any other day without any additional charges if I show the pay in slip?
