01 May 2016 The interest paid on each of three different sums of money yielding 3%, 4% and 5% simple interest p.a. respectively is the same. The average yield per cent on the total sum invested is.....?

02 May 2016 Let us assume any number to be the amount yielded in each investment...

I am assuming it to be Rs. 5/-

Now

Total Return = Rs. 5 X 3 Investments = Rs. 15

Total Investment = 5/3% + 5/4% + 5/5% = Rs.391.66

Consolidated Yield = 100 X 15 / 391.66 = 3.83%
