10 February 2011 We have a bill dated 31.1.11 for consultancy charges. Is it right to book the same in the month of February and deduct the TDS and pay the TDS amount in the next month March?

10 February 2011 Bill date is not an issue. You have to deduct tax when you actually account in your books. Hence your ur correct.
