20 June 2013 I have completed my article ship under my present principal before one year.

I have joined this office after taking transfer from my old principal. At my present principal office there is a rule to first serve on probation basis for three months and after that he recruits as an article assistant for article ship. I have also followed the same procedure for the period of three months.

However as per the information provided by the member of institute my article ship period is extended for 89 days due to excess leave. I have still not received any letter for communication regarding the matter.

Now I would like to know from you that may I take stand of clause 2 of regulation 59 of Training Guidelines and whether I can utilize the probation period that I have served for three month for set off of the excess leave or not. It is not possible for me to join again the article ship.

20 June 2013 1)my understanding on said ca regulation is you are entitle to earn leave on one half of work done as an audit assitant but not says that period of work done under him as audit assitant will be considered as actually workdone on these days--

2)in my opinion please contact icai nearest regional branch they will clear you all your doubts and will suggest you the best action.

3)what is the meaning of audit assitant?
4)i think we need to register with icai to be called as audit assitant..
5) icai may not considered period of wrk done before regisration of articleship

my opinion:-

1)please contact icai regional branch they will guide you better in this regard

2)it seems you need to provided some form also for this extension period ..

3)however as you have already worked under him..you may not required to go to office ur principal may consider it and will sign after completing extension days

20 June 2013 1)have u received any intimation from icai in this regard..wait till icai intimates you in this regard..dont bother untill icai directs u to service excess leave taken

2)if you have sent your articleship completion form contact icai for the status after 30 days of submission

Sir, i have submitted my Articleship completion form two months late to Institute and i continued my Articleship under my present Principal. can I get credit of these two months from my Articleship Extension??

20 June 2013 yes you can consider it

if icai asks u to serve for extra period work for extra leave taken..if icai not intimated to you in this regard...dont required to work..

i may suggest ..but you should confirm with icai in this regard by visiting to icai regional branch, as it is a special issue
