What is the stipend for article assistant undergraduate in BDO India Mumbai branch??
Also let me know about the exposure?
Should I go for EnY stat audit or Bdo tax??

stipend is taxable under the head salaries.. subject to basic exemption limits..

Based on input from web got this bit of information -
Current stipend (2016-2019) for articleship under PWC, EY, Deloitte and Kpmg are as follows (figures in thousand per month )
1st year : PWC - 9, EY-15 , KPMG -15, Deloitte - 10
2nd Year: PWC - 14, EY - 20, KPMG -20, Deloitte -15
3rd Year : PWC - 19, EY - 25, KPMG - 25, Deloitte - 20
This remains the same for both assurance and taxation
Kpmg has the highest stipend amongst all the four (articles in KPMG receives annual bonus as well) and PWC has the lowest of all but these all surely offer much higher stipend than rest of the firms.

Choose your career based on your passion - if you have greater interest in Taxation line you can opt for it or else think of statutory audits. You also must be aware of the challenges one needs to undergo while selecting a career path.Wish you all the very best for your career.

Hi, If you are really interested in taxation and have a long term goal to make career in tax consulting, join BDO as they have excellent tax practice, else join KPMG which is good in Audit and Accounting Advisory... Stipend is mostly same (more or less) in top 8 - 10 firms
