During the seizure the A.O found some bogus purchases and concluded it as escapement of income. However Invoice, challan, etc were submitted to the A.O. Assessee has received notice u/s 148 for escapment of income to which an objection was filed and was rejected.
Can notice received u/s 148 serve as an order? Can we file an appeal to CIT before the order is passed in this matter? If yes, under which section?

We do NOT need any section to knock the doors of Income Tax Department. Let us not forget that they are PUBLIC servants.
See, go to the person (AO) who has issued 148. Ask him who is your superior to whom you report He will, but obvious, ask WHY? Tell him that I want to escalate the matter. Once you get the address...send a written letter to its higher authority
