adjustment of custom duty paid to dvat liability

Can DVAT Liability be adjusted against custom duty paid in following cases?

1. Company is in manufacturing

2. Company is in trading business

Though Vat is also a Indirect Tax but it is different from Custom, excise and service tax. It has separate department and law therefore can't be adjusted with DVat

Both are different statues one is Governed by Central and other by State.

There is no integrity
