what is suppose to be done regarding direct tax ?????

i had studied direct tax from T.N. MANOHARAN

ALL MY ANSWERS FOR NOVERMBER 2010  tally with suggested issued by t.n.manoharan

sugeested issued by the institute does not tally the answers of manoharan , there is conceptual differance

for ex.   sec . 54 exemption  regading purchasing flat from the nri  will not allowed as 2 flat are purchase one in delhi and one in cennai  but as per manoharan 13 lks is allowed as expetion while 8 lks as per institute suggested

wealth tax :- q.7   according to institute the wealth is  380  lks but as per manoharan  its 90 lks
q.1. c   accoring to institute the value of flat is 3 lks as per manoharan its 5 lks

my question to all of u  , after looking all this shall i still refer to manoharan or switch off
the problem in switching off to another book is  , i need to study the entire book again if indeed i need to
change which is best alternative :
   v.k.gupta or
   v.k.singhania
plese suggest as early as possible

 v.k.gupta

v k s vinod k singhania is the besttttttttt

but is it worth to change ????????  now

i mean when i had studied all from the manohran book is it worth for the me to change it completely

Padhuka book is also best for direct tax

first plz tell is t.n.manoharan is not good / worth to relay upon ...

i mean can i relay on t.n. manoharan  for direct tax

I too follow t.n.m. only. I did that too for my PCC. I had no such problems in PCC.

But for final i am going to write in may 2011 only. I already studied half the book. I cannot switch over. Let us stick on to the same book. Its the instititue recommended book.

if u have just check out the solution of new  syallabus  suggested in manoharan and institute u will find what i m talking about , thats the problem is dnt know what to do even i cant change it now but ........

@ ram singhania .  If what u say is true then there is no point in learning something that institute does not agree with. Now about shifting to V K Gupta ( my recommendation) the issue lies whether shifting is worth in terms of time & effort ?

I feel shifting though very laborouis a job, But is very essential. if u have studied TNM then u know the sections contents, Which will also remain the same in VKG. thus u will only have to go thorough one part i.e. solved question from previous years, to develop the correct way of interpretting a section. Thus i dont feel it will be a big switch.

thanks alot  i even think the same , but as the approval and reconfirmation i will switch to  gupta / singhania

thanks alot , and regarding   the  book and suggested issue  plz  u can check it by ur self  just  at the start of new edition i.e 17 th addition of  t.n. manoharan  u find the suggested answer  compare it with the suggested issued by the institute u will get it by u r self

thanks for u r suggestion and reconfimation about the same i will switch  offf  now for sure and if  any one is having dought about what i m telling just check out by urself
